Course instruction will continue through remote/Internet interaction for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester. Graduation ceremonies have been postponed until further notice. Powers & Kirchner Child Development Center (SWTJC Daycare) and the Matthews Student Center Cafeteria on the Uvalde Campus will also be closed until further notice.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)

The Associate of Science (A.S.) offers course work appropriate for students planning to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Physics. Students will be prepared to continue studies in the natural sciences as well as in pre-professional programs.

While certain courses are recommended, the requirements are essentially the General Education Core as well as recommended Math and Science electives appropriate for baccalaureate degree programs in Science or Math.
