Graduation Information

Students who are eligible to graduate must complete and submit an application for graduation, which may be obtained in person or online. To obtain in person, Uvalde students must go to the Rodolfo R. and Dolores Flores Student Services Building (Registrar's Office). Applications can be picked up at the Administration Building of the Del Rio, Eagle Pass, and Crystal City campuses.

Please mail the graduation application form with a money order (no checks, please) made payable to SWTJC to:

What to do on Commencement Day

Liberal Arts Commencement

Friday, May 17th @ 7:00 p.m.

  • Arrive at the Uvalde Honey Bowl at 5:00 p.m. for check-in and lineup. If you’re not on time, you may forfeit your right to walk the stage. The ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m.
  • Graduates will check-in for lineup at the “Graduates Only” entrance at the south side of the field where the field house is located. You will pick-up your graduation card and proceed to lineup on the track.
  • Please do not bring belongings (purses, bags, etc.) with you to check-in. There will not be an area to check-in personal items.
  • Students are required to remain in their seats throughout the entire ceremony.
  • After the ceremony is concluded your friends and family may join you on the field for photos.
  • See Bad Weather category in the event of inclement weather.

 

Applied Sciences Commencement

Saturday, May 18th @ 7:00 p.m.

Services for Graduates with Disabilities

Degree candidates with disabilities who need accommodations to participate in their Commence ceremony are asked to contact the Disabilities Services office. Please call (830) 591-7284 or send an email to tmcrow@swtjc.edu to set up an appointment to discuss the accommodation possibilities. Appointments can be made from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
